Sacred Heart Sisters through SHAEP

The Stuart Upper School offers (SHAEP) Sacred Heart Academic Exchange Program to every student. This program gives students the opportunity to attend another Sacred Heart school around the world and live with their exchange sister.

I was given the opportunity to participate in the exchange program. My exchange sister, Charlotte, came to live with me in January. She spent a month here, and during that time, was able to participate in the winter musical and was part of the school newspaper through Journalism class. Outside of school, we visited NYC for a weekend. While we were there, we saw Wicked, went to Times Square, and shopped. When asking Charlotte about her experience, she said, “Through the exchange, I was able to experience a new country and meet a forever friend.” As her exchange sister, I agree.

In June, I will be completing my part of the SHAEP program and attending Baradene College of the Sacred Heart in New Zealand.
