Daniela Mayen-Veliz is a Senior at Stuart Country Day School and is a staff writer for The Tartan. She does shot put for her track team and is a part of the Latin Heritage Club. She takes huge pride in her cultural background as she is a first generation student. She enjoys working as florist, going out with her friends and volunteering at her local Pets Smart to help out with taking care of the cats. She also enjoys productions like MTV’s Downtown and the Netflix show You. 

Fun Fact: Dani has two fur babies that she loves very much. Her Yorkie is named Bandit and her bi-color kitty is named Lilly!
