Stuart’s writing center is home to enthusiastic, welcoming, helpful, and fun tutors! The team meets every month to plan writing workshops and brainstorm ways to become an even more accessible resource. While they live in the Upper School, they also work with the middle school and want to broaden their influence in the community. The writing center is a tremendous asset that encourages you to take advantage of both scheduled sessions and flex-drop ins, in addition to attending the monthly workshops led by Ms. Cutalo. 

If you are looking to schedule a session at the writing center, see the Stuart Writing Center google classroom page. You can request a session via google form and get paired with a tutor. Ms. Cutalo will send the details to you and your tutor. Then, you get to skip to the library for a productive session and reap the benefits of the writing center! Finally, you can help the writing center grow by filling out the tutor review form, which is also on our google classroom. 

The staff takes peers at any stage of the writing process and encourage everyone to visit us. It only helps to have a new set of eyes look over your writing and challenge you to take the next steps. Sessions are not stressful and are very beneficial if you are committed to the process. Sometimes just talking out ideas is exactly what you need to clear a creativity block or deepen an analysis.
