On Dec. 4, members of the Stuart community gathered to decorate the school’s sponsored tree located at 116 Nassau Street, in front of Labyrinth Books. This year, Stuart Country Day School volunteered to “festively foster” a tree as part of an initiative led by Princeton’s Shade Tree Commission.
In an effort to “Spruce Up” the Central Business District of Princeton, the Shade Tree Commission sponsored the purchase of evergreen and deciduous trees that were placed along Nassau and Witherspoon Streets.
Businesses and nonprofits were encouraged to decorate a tree with their own creative ideas, including branding. The Stuart tree now dons Stuart-themed apparel, including a hat at the top and “Nothing Stops A Stuart Girl” t-shirts as a tree skirt. Representatives from Lower, Middle, and Upper school shared their creative expertise and helped decorate the tree. They include: Georgia Glanton, Vanessa Harrison, Aryianna Johnson, Kristen Price, Lavanya Seshasayee, Naomika Seshasayee, Ms. D’Alessandro, Ms. Zosche, and Dr. Muoio.
Make sure you stop by and check out the Stuart tree, take a picture, and tag Stuart.
