Ms. Zosche is the Dean of Students here at Stuart and also assists in teaching journalism and podcasting. When she’s not at work, she lives a dynamic and well-rounded life, balancing her physical wellness, intellectual interests, and personal connections with friends and family.
For her, taking care of her physical health is an essential part of her daily routine. Each morning, she focuses on physical wellness before diving into work. If it’s still light outside in the evenings, you’ll likely find her out for a walk, enjoying the fresh air. She sets aside time for a long run on weekends and enjoys spin classes.
Her downtime is equally enriching. Cooking and unwinding with podcasts are two of her favorite ways to spend the evening. Interestingly, she’s among the top 3% of podcast listeners worldwide, especially enjoying news podcasts. Her love for stories extends to reading as well, and she alternates between fiction and nonfiction books to keep her intellectual curiosity piqued.
Beyond that, she has a few other passions. Pop culture is always on her radar, and she’s fascinated by innovative storytelling. Whether it’s the methods people use to tell their stories or the content of those stories, she’s deeply interested in how human experiences are communicated. She believes that hearing other people’s stories not only helps foster empathy but is also simply fascinating.
Fun fact: Ms. Zosche has completed three major marathons—New York, Boston, and Chicago. These experiences underscore her dedication and perseverance in all aspects of her life.
Her favorite place to be is the beach with a book in hand, embodying her love for quiet moments of introspection and escape. And if she had to choose one meal for the rest of her life, sushi would be her go-to choice.
Ms. Zosche believes that in order to fully embrace life’s opportunities, we must remain open to paths that may not always be part of the grand plan. While planning ahead is essential, over-planning can restrict us from seizing new opportunities. For her, maintaining a strong support system is also key to navigating life’s challenges. The people you surround yourself with have a profound impact on your journey.
Despite her current role as an educator, she never anticipated becoming a teacher. In fact, she initially resisted the idea, even when it was suggested to her. Throughout middle school and high school, she had her sights set on becoming an interior designer. By the time she reached the end of high school and college, she was certain that a career in entertainment journalism was her calling.
Her professional journey led her through publishing and marketing, and she initially dreamed of working at a magazine. However, life took a different turn. She eventually became an English teacher, and through her openness to unexpected opportunities, she found herself in a role at Stuart, where she’s now able to combine her interests in education and storytelling.
One of her favorite subjects to teach is podcasting, an area she’s passionate about. She has also taught TV and Storytelling, allowing her to dive into the exploration of popular culture in relation to television. But there’s one more class she’s excited about: spin. With her love for fitness, she would happily teach a spin class one day, especially with the opportunity to create themed classes that inspire and energize others.
Through her diverse interests, experiences, and advice, she reminds us that life is full of unexpected opportunities, and staying open to them can lead to a fulfilling and enriching journey. Whether it’s through fitness, learning, or connecting with others, Ms. Zosche continues to explore new paths and encourages us to do the same.
