Ripples, reflections, tides, and waves,
The ocean before me, with the sun’s rays.
The shimmering blue, the diamond sea,
I can feel it out there, calling me.
Every stream, brook, river or lake,
If I get close, the call will wake,
Drawing me towards the aqua blue,
It’s a beautiful call, born anew.
The call wants me to follow it,
I give in just a little bit,
Curiosity gets the best of me;
It’s leading me somewhere, where could that be?
Suddenly I’m soaring, towards the source of the call,
I’ve passed the boundaries; broken the wall.
Soon it’s night, I can see planets like Mars,
Flying over the sea, under the twinkling stars.
Then, out of the blue, an island in sight,
Barely seen in the darkness of night.
This was the island with the water of answers,
Created by nature’s enchanter.
Gently landing on the sand,
I walk towards the center of the land,
Where a pool of water awaits the next question,
One question, one answer, for each person.
I ponder hard; what question will it be?
But finally, the answer comes to me.
I ask the water, “Why did you call me?”
I hear its voice, like the waves in the sea.
“You have a strong connection with mother nature.
You respect, love and care for her.
Your spirit is among her powerful sources,
The ones which bind lives and stop wars.
“You are the key to friendships and glories,
You are the hero of all myths and stories.
You are the chosen one; the protector,
You are the guardian, for worse or for better.”
I understood every word that it said,
I had to guard every scroll that was read,
I was in charge of the sources of life,
I was the Guardian, the preventer of strife.
Suddenly a strong wind blows me away,
I bolt upright, it’s now day.
I’m in my room, had it been all a dream?
Everything was normal; at least that’s how it seemed.
I look out my window, an astonishing sight,
There, in trees, the sign shining bright,
The sign of nature; the sources combined.
Fire, Wind, Plants, Water, the Living, and imagination, the future undefined.
