Oct. 3 marked the special Senior Day for field hockey prior to the start of the Varsity game. The field hockey team, alongside faculty, students, family and friends celebrated senior field hockey captains Elise Price ’24 and Alexandra Mandzij ’24.
Sophomore teammates made posters, and juniors gave speeches. It was a wonderful celebration of Price’s and Mandzij’s accomplishments throughout their four years on the team.
“The seniors are a big part of our team, and their leadership is inspiring,” said Abby Chirik ’26 after the senior day celebration. “It is sad to see them go. But they will do great in the future.”
Following the ceremony, the team won their game against Burlington City with a score of 6-0! Mandzij ’24 scored twice, Nyla Flamer ’25 had a hat trick (3 goals in one game), and Nana Ken-Kwofie ’26 scored her first goal of the season, with the assist of Jada Hutchinson ’26.
