Tuesday, Nov. 22, Stuart upper school kicked off their Thanksgiving break with a festive afternoon! Fueled by a buffet of cookies and hot chocolate from SPA, students made paper snowflakes in advisory, gave each student Christmas stockings for their locker, and listened to Christmas music. Within the hour, the entire USRC was decked out for the holidays.
This year, the seniors decided on the theme: ‘twas the night before Christmas. The seniors all took it a step further when they decorated the senior section with large holiday lights!
“The upper school had a great time decorating the USRC before going on Thanksgiving break. The seniors worked to come up with a theme that would allow each advisory to create something to bring the theme to life. I really love the end product and think it was a great way to kick off the holiday season!” said Sydney Amato, Stuart senior of 2023.
Overall, the afternoon provided a fun way to distress after the end of the trimester and it heralded the beginnings of the holiday season.
