On Sept. 30, the senior class of 2023 took their high school portraits. The occasion happened in the Stuart Little Theater, where seniors took a shoulder-up headshot-style photo. Then, they headed outside, passing through the gym, and took portrait pictures with the trees in the background.
All the seniors got dressed up—some people wore flowy dresses, others wore sweaters and jeans. Some people put on makeup, others didn’t. No matter who took photos, this event is something sacred in the Stuart tradition; every senior has taken their portrait photo in the Friendship Forest.
To hear about how special this event is/was, here is a quote from Stuart senior and lifer, Stella Firmenich:
“The importance of friendship forest is that you spend years playing there as a kid in lower school, so taking a picture as an upper school senior is a full circle moment because you can see how much you’ve grown.”
